On June 4th, 1990, Chushinkan Dojo began classes at the Trident Senior Center in Anaheim.

Three years later, in 1993, we moved into a noisy and cramped Anaheim YWCA racquetball court

The racquetball court allowed us to save up enough that in the Spring of 1995, we made the decision to move into our own place

Our first dojo that we could call home, was just a little bigger than the racquetball court, but so much nicer!

And when we needed extra room, we just went outside to the parking lot!

Two years later, in July of 1997, we had to opportunity to move a couple units away, into an area twice as large. That's when we moved into what everyone remembers as the "Big Dojo"

And a couple months later, the dojo full of aikidoist training on Sensei's birthday

After 10 years of enjoying the spaciousness of the "Big Dojo", July 2007 found us having to move again due to economic reasons.

With everyone one's help, we packed up everything and moved down the road to our new smaller location

Our new place - smaller with a row of sinks!

After removing the sinks, building the dressing rooms, and putting up some weapons racks, it's starting to take shape

Two years later, in June 2009, the decision was made to move our classes over to the City of Buena Park Recreation department.

The decision to move out of our own dojo was not an easy one.

Now comes the food!

Our classes at the newly built Heritage Hall just require mats!

Lucky we saved these!

And back to training!

Settled in!
