Aikido, Meditation and Iaido classes are offered through the City of Buena Park recreation program

 Classes are continuous throughout the year in seven-week sessions

Iaido/Meditation Class
Iaido students must be 13 years and older
Meditation class is open to all aikido and iaido students
Fee per session: $60

Aikido For Kids
This class is for Children ages 5 to 12
Fee per 6 week session: $78
Fee per 7 week session: $90
Fee per 8 week session: $104

Beginning Aikido
All new students must be 13 years and older, and enroll in the Beginning Aikido class
(To attend on Wednesdays, you must be enrolled in the Intermediate/Advanced Class)
Fee per session: $70

Intermediate/Advanced Aikido
Aikido students signing up for this class must have prior instructor approval.
If you are a new student with prior experience, please visit one of our Intermediate/Advanced classes and get approval before registering for this class.

Walk-in registration is at the Buena Park Community Center, 6688 Beach Blvd (behind City Hall) 
Monday - Thursday from 7:30am - 5:30pm.

La Palma:


For your first day of class: 

Please fill out our waiver before coming to class, and bring it with you.

For Aikido Students, if you have a gi (martial arts uniform), you may wear it with a white belt. 
Otherwise, please wear comfortable, loose fitting sports clothing (no shorts). 

Please, NO jewelry while working out (smooth wedding bands are the only exception).

Make sure all finger and toe nails are filed smooth to avoid scratching others.

For Iaido Students, you will need a gi (martial arts uniform) with a white belt. Hakama (pleated pants) are optional. New students may borrow dojo weapons. Non-beginning students are encouraged to own personal weapons (bokken or iaito). For safety reasons, personal weapons need to be approved by the instructor. For more info, click here.
